Pray.

What does it mean to speak with Heavenly Father?

Prayer is a conversation with Heavenly Father as if we talk to each other; but when we talk with  Heavenly Father, He can direct us. We know Heavenly Father wants the best for us, because He loves us and we are His children.  For this reason He wants us to pray to Him so that He can give us directions in the decisions we make in our lives.

The way we pray to our Heavenly Father is very simple

1st - Dear Heavenly Father ( we address Him)

2nd  - I thank you for ......(we thank Him for his blessings)

3rd - we ask the ......(we ask for Him to help us in decisions and other things we need)

4 - In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. (always close in the name of Jesus Christ)

I would like to share with you my experience when Heavenly Father responded to my prayers.

When I was little, I always prayed my way because I did not know how to pray, but one day my mom met two missionaries on the street from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She invited the missionaries to come to our home. I was only 13 years old at the time. The missionaries also taught me how to pray and communicate with Heavenly Father.  The missionaries invited me to pray to my Heavenly Father about the Book of Mormon, whether it was true or not and also to find out about the truth of their message.

At that moment I was thinking how can Heavenly Father answer this question,.Is he going to come in front of me and say, "Yes Jona it is true I" .. :) :) I was a little confused  because at that time we had a hard time understanding what was true as there were many churches who claimed to be true. But one day while I was reading the Book of Mormon, I found this: (Mormon chapter 10:3-6.)

Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and bponder it in your chearts.

And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would aask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not btrue; and if ye shall ask with a csincere heart, with dreal intent, having efaith in Christ, he will fmanifest the gtruth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may aknow the btruth of all things.

And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he

While reading this part of the book of Mormon, I decided to talk to my Heavenly Father in prayer.
I prayed every day to know if  the Book of Mormon is true.  In my heart I had the feeling that it is true. Also I cannot describe with words what was in my mind and in my heart.when I received the response that
yes it is  the true church.

Also as stated in the Book of  Mormon  "through the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things" which is a good sensation as every good thing comes from Heavenly Father. We can know that if we really trust Lord and open mind heart to our Heavenly Father, He will help us to find the truth.

I would like to invite everyone who reads my blog to pray to Heavenly Father that you may be guided by Him in His way, also pray to know that the Book of Mormon is true.

If you do not have a Book of Mormon, you can receive one as we will send you one upon request for free. I would also like to invite you to look at the adverts that you can watch on
www.lds.org  and mormon.org.

Truths of Faith found in the Book of Mormon.

Truths of faith found in the Book of Mormon.

The Church of Jesus Christ Of latter day saints. is the fulfillment of the gospel, the message makes sense of all that is explained in the book of Mormon. It had all the answers the questions that people have at this time.

.1-Such as why I'm here on earth?
What is the purpose of life?
Do you have life after this life?
Where will we go?
A heavenly father continues to talk with his children at this time?
Even a prophet we really need at this time?

For these, and many other questions have answers Book of Mormon.

                    So what is this book?

The Book of Mormon is the word of God, like the Bible. It is Holy Scripture, with form and content similar to that of the Bible. Both books contain God's guidance as revealed to prophets as well as religious histories of different civilizations. While the Bible is written by and about the people in the land of Israel and surrounding areas, and takes place from the creation of the world until shortly after the death of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon contains the history and God’s dealings with the people who lived in the Americas between approximately 600 BC and 400 AD. The prophets in the Book of Mormon recorded God's dealings with His people, which were compiled by a prophet named Mormon onto gold plates.
Before these faithful Christians perished, their record was safely hidden away. Joseph Smith obtained these ancient records in 1827, and with the gift and power of God Joseph was able to translate the ancient writings into what we have today. The Book of Mormon, along with the Bible, testifies that Jesus Christ is our divine Redeemer and that by living according to His gospel we can find peace in this life and eternal happiness in the life to come.

Missionaries are handing out copies of the Book of Mormon all over the world, even as you read this.                 If it’s given out for free,

why do so many members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints count their Book of Mormon as one of their most valuable possessions?

What kind of book can cause so many readers to change their lives, their minds and their hearts?
What kind of book can answer life's seemingly unanswerable questions?

I'll trust in the Lord

I have a testimony of the scriptures. I know that if we “trust in the Lord” and read the scriptures prayerfully, we will receive direction and guidance as to what we should do in any troubling circumstance. I know that as we follow this direction, we will feel of the Savior’s love for us.

As young Women, we are faced with challenges, choices and difficult situations.
Many times we think we are strong enough to handle them by ourselves,
we aren't strong enough, not by ourselves at least. But if we seek with real intent and with all of our heart for help and answers, we will receive guidance and direction from the Lord .

We need to allow the Lord to help us.We must trust in him and do his will.
After we have done his will, we will find true joy and happiness.
We will know that what we have done is right.

If you would turn in your scriptures to Proverbs,chapter 3,verses 5 to 6. we can read together and learn that Heavenly Father wants us to trust him;

''Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
''In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

What is faith for you?

Light of a new day

BY PRESIDENT GORDON B. HINCKLEY.
I had a long-remembered meeting with a former prime minister. He had seen much of conflict and trouble in his time. He told a very interesting story of a Jewish rabbi who was conversing with two of his friends. The rabbi asked one of them, “How do you know when the night is over and a new day has begun?”

His friend replied, “When you look into the east and can distinguish a sheep from a goat, then you know the night is over and the day has begun.”

The second was asked the same question. He replied, “When you look into the distance and can distinguish an olive tree from a fig tree, then you know morning has come.”

They then asked the rabbi how he could tell when the night is over and the day has begun. He thought for a time and then said, “When you look into the east and see the face of a woman and can say, ‘She is my sister,’ and when you look into the east and see the face of a man and can say, ‘He is my brother,’ then you know the light of a new day has come.”

Think of that for a few moments, my dear friends. It speaks of the true meaning of brotherhood.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the only element that will destroy the hatred that exists among people. If they will bring this gospel into their lives, there will be a far greater measure of peace in the world. That is why you and I are here—to teach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and touch the hearts of people so that they can look upon one another as brothers and sisters, as children of our Father in Heaven.

Things to Think About
1. In the story, the rabbi compares love to the light of a new morning. Why does the light of the gospel bring love into our hearts?
2. How can you share the gospel and help bring peace to others?
3. How can you experience the peace of the gospel in your own life?

Life is beautiful when you know how to live with purpose!

My Life Is a Gift; My Life Has a Plan!

My life is a gift; my life has
a plan

My life has a purpose; in heav’n it began.

My choice was to come to this lovely home on earth

And seek for God’s light to direct me from birth.

These words teach that you lived with Heavenly Father before you came to earth. You are His child. Heavenly Father asked His Son, Jesus Christ, to create the earth. The earth was prepared so you could come and receive a body. You were also given agency, and you chose to come to earth and learn to follow Heavenly Father’s plan.
You can learn about Heavenly Father’s plan in the scriptures. Jacob, aBook of Mormon prophet, taught that Jesus Christ was chosen to be our Savior. He would come to earth to live, take upon Himself the sins of the world, and provide a way for all of Heavenly Father’s children to return to Him. Because of Jesus, you can repent and be forgiven of your sins. Jacob said, “O how great the plan of our God!” (2 Nephi 9:13).
Heavenly Father loves you. He has given you His word—--------------the scriptures—

so you can learn about His plan. If you follow His plan, you will be happy on earth and return to live with Him someday.
